Monday, 10/3
What is a function? 
How is function notation similar to y= notation?  How is it different?
Why do you think we need a new notation for functions?
Classwork:  read p. 171-172, do problems #1-2 on page 172
Homework #20:  page 174 On Your Own

Tuesday, 10/4
What is a function?
1. Look at the worksheet to see examples of what is and is not a function. 
2. Read the definition of "function" on the top of page 173.
3. Make sure you understand why the functions on the paper are functions, and why the back of the paper represents non-functions.
Homework #21: page 182-183 #1-2

Wednesday, 10/5
Practical Domain & Range (Practical Input and Output) - what is possible for the inputs (x) or outputs (y) in a context situation?
Classwork: p. 175-176 #1-2
Homework #22: page 179-181, #1, #3a-c (d=advanced practice)
